Codebook and Dataset

The Jihadist Leaders Dataset (JLD) is a living dataset. The version released here corresponds to the dataset used in our data release article forthcoming in the Journal of Peace Research. At the same time, we continuously update the JLD multiple times per year as new information becomes available, leadership changes occur within existing organizations, and new jihadist groups and leaders are identified and added to the dataset. The most up-to-date version of the JLD can always be downloaded from this page.
