Leader Biographical Narratives

This page provides access to detailed, fully cited biographical narratives of jihadist leaders included in the Jihadist Leaders Dataset (JLD). The narratives synthesize information from primary and secondary sources and are organized by armed group and the group’s country of operation.

At present, approximately one third of leader narratives have been completed. Additional narratives will be added and existing entries updated on a rolling basis.
